35mm film; a familiar format with a little extra warmth, texture, depth, and soul.
Film captures the moment, and the heart. It offers us something more than just a snapshot, more than digital replica. It allows us to make the photograph, to create a window in time, to look in on a memory that is aglow in nostalgia and at home in your heart. Your moments straight from the source, painted with light and imprinted onto a physical surface, before arriving in your gallery, and your albums. How special is that? In a world that is saturated with electronic images and airbrushed reproductions, choose something real.

We’re so glad you asked. Yes, film can be tricky. But it is always worth the extra effort, and as great as modern tech has become, you just can’t digitally replicate it. We have absolutely had our blank frames, stuck rolls, accidental double exposures, and other such trials and tribulations. But we are true analogue lovers, completely infatuated with the beauty there is to be found in process, and a little bit of a challenge. We’ve worked through the learning curves of this artform for almost 10 years, and we’ve got our processes down to a finely tuned, ultra efficient routine.
We shoot with some amazing, tested, tried and true cameras that get regular servicing, and that we know better than the backs of our hands. We have our favourite film stocks that we are loyal to on every occasion, to ensure our clients galleries are consistent in aesthetic, and in quality. With trusted gear and fine tuned skill, we make sure that every frame makes the final cut.
The process of shooting with film isn’t just fun for us, it’s fun for our clients! We love to get our couples and families involved in our process, from setting up the shot, to pressing the shutter button.
It’s true, film is slower, and it’s a little unconventional. We think that’s perfect. "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." - Ferris Bueller. Taking an extra minute to slow down, reset, and enjoy where you are is becoming a rare luxury in modern life, and we want to change that.
Let’s slow down together and take it all in.
